Vitellius Sesterce HONOS

Only one or two examples of the type "HONOS ET VIRTVS" are known:

All other pieces are "padouans", fakes or whatever. Yesterday a very worn example was sold on ebay (look at the pictures)



In my opinion this coin is a bad cast (no details, looks polished to remove the bubbles) and it is from the same faked dies/mule than most of the "padouans" (the letter of the legends are on the same place etc.)



Also the bust type on the fakes is different from the original.

I informed the seller yesterday but he had the opinion it is genuine.

The coin 1 et 2 are perhaps authentics...

Les deux premières monnaies semblent authentiques (doute sur la 2). Par contre, la troisième monnaies est un padouan de Cavino très bien documenté.

J'avais vu le Vitellius Honos sur eBay, monnaie douteuse, trafiqué au moins
